Scientific Program

The scientific program consists of 18 plenary and invited and more than 600 contributed papers. In addition to plenary lectures (35 + 5 min) and invited lectures (25 + 5 min), a few contributed papers have been selected for oral presentation (15 + 5 min).

Both overhead projection and computerbased presentations will be possible for oral presentations.

An IBM notebook with WindowsXP/Linux operating system will be available. If you wish to present your talk using this capability, please bring your presentation on a CD and hand over to the technical assistent of the session at least 1 hour before the session starts, preferably the day before your talk. Otherwise bring your own laptop computer, and have it powered on and ready to be connected. You will be responsible for promptly connecting to the projector. The presentation timer will begin immediately after introduction by the session chair, and there will not be time to reboot your computer. You are therefore strongly encouraged to bring transparencies as a backup and to test your laptop connection to the projector well ahead of time.

The official Poster sessions have been scheduled for Tuesday to Friday starting at lunch time. The Posters should be on display all day. In particular, additional time for discussion is envisaged on Tuesday and Thursday evening after the oral sessions. The poster size should not exceed 160 cm in height and 100 cm in width. Pins can be used to fix the poster on the board. Pins are not provided by the organizers.
